Paul and Dee opened Deesigner Hair in 1995. Three decades on, the same trusted team works from a beautifully refitted space in the heart of the town centre.
Since 1995
A family salon, built on loyalty.
On 1 September 1995, Ipswich-born Paul Rose and his wife Dee opened Deesigner Hair Studio. What began as a young salon has become a town-centre institution. Unisex, welcoming and quietly expert.
In 2025 we celebrated 30 years, and signed a new 15-year lease at the Buttermarket Centre. We are not going anywhere. The same familiar faces you have trusted for years are still here, now in surroundings that finally match the work.
There is a second Deesigner Hair too, a small salon in Le Mesnil-Adelee, Lower Normandy, by appointment, since 2009. More on Deesigner Hair France

We have given Deesigner Hair a complete transformation, with new basins, new styling chairs, upgraded workstations and a beautifully redecorated space. More than 20 cutting stations, air conditioned throughout, with walk-ins normally welcome.
